Pastor Jeff and Amy Carlson
Lead Pastors
Pastor Jeff and Amy were elected Lead Pastor of Connection Point Church in 2022. Pastor Jeff grew up in Elkhart, Indiana, and attended Central Bible College in Springfield, MO, graduating in 2001 with a B.A. in Biblical Studies. Further education work was completed in 2009 at Assemblies of God Theological Seminary with an M.A. in Christian Leadership. Pastor Jeff is pursuing his Doctorate at Liberty University. Before coming to CPC, Pastor Jeff, and Amy served as Lead Pastors in central Indiana for 12 years and most recently as the Church Development and Church Planting Director for Indiana Assemblies of God since 2017. Pastor Jeff loves history, theological discussions, woodworking, family vacations, and the Green Bay Packers & Chicago Cubs. Amy loves home design, organizing chaos, growing and arranging flowers, quality family time, and hearing people’s stories. Pastor Jeff & Amy live in Lafayette and have eight children.
Pastor James and Robin Walsh
Lafayette Campus Pastors
Jim & Robin have been married for 38 years and have been blessed with five children and five grandchildren. Family is everything to them, and they find great joy in spending time with their loved ones. Jim and Robin believe in the next generation. They dedicated 25 years to doing all that they could to empower and disciple young people to be true followers of Jesus and to make a positive impact on the world around them. They are deeply committed to this community and believe in the power of coming together to support and lift each other up. One of Jim’s greatest passions in life is worship, and he finds tremendous meaning and purpose in leading others in the adoration of Jesus.
Pastor Michael and Shana Ivy
Associate Pastors
Michael was born and raised in Lafayette, IN. Having grown up in the church, Michael felt the call to ministry during his senior year of high school. After completing his undergraduate studies at Purdue University (BA Law & Society 2002), Michael completed ministerial, biblical, and theological training through the Indiana School of Ministry (ISOM). Michael has served bi-vocationally as the Discipleship Pastor since 2018 and became the Executive Pastor in 2022. Michael also owns and operates several businesses, intending to use every resource for Kingdom Impact. Michael’s wife, Shana, is the Office Manager for Connection Point Church. Michael and Shana have four children: Maleah, Kielyn, Kerington, and Silas.
Pastor Andrew and Torre Farmer
Associate Pastors
Andrew was born in Greeley, Colorado, and grew up in West Lafayette, Indiana. In 2010 Andrew graduated from Evangel University with a bachelor’s degree in Film. While completing his master's degree in 2012, he felt called to serve in his local church full-time. After a year of volunteering, he was hired on staff as the Creative Arts Director of Connection Point Church.
Pastor Narron and Susanne Sloan
Associate Pastors
Narron was born in Watseka, IL, and grew up in Boswell, IN. After graduating from Indiana State University with a degree in Physical Education, Narron began his teaching career in Colorado Springs, CO. As he taught, he sensed the call into ministry. That led him to the Indiana School of Ministry (ISOM) where he completed his ministerial training.
Pastor Hawk and Abigail Pusey
Next Gen Pastors
Hawk and Abigail grew up in the Greater Lafayette area and attended Connection Point Church throughout their childhood and teenage years. In the Fall of 2022, they were married and came on staff at Connection Point Church. They spend most of their time loving on students both inside and outside the church. On Sundays, the Puseys can be found leading the Elementary students of The Outbound in the morning and pouring into Middle School and High School students at Youth in the evening. Hawk and Abigail believe there is no child too young to encounter and share the love of Jesus with the world around them and love helping students discover who they are in Christ.
Pastor Sarah Hiscox
Next Gen Pastor
Sarah was born in Orlando, FL, and grew up in Boswell, IN. She graduated from Purdue in 2012 with a degree in Physical Education and has been teaching in Benton County since 2015. She started in Youth Ministry as a youth leader in 2011 at Connection Point Church. In 2018 she felt the call into Ministry, and went back to school and graduated in 2021 from Southwestern Assemblies of God University with a degree in Church Leadership with a focus in Youth Ministry. Her desire to minister and teach teenagers about Jesus is evident. In the summer of 2022, she spent two months overseas as a part of MAPS serving as an intern with the International Church. She loves getting to spend time with her family and is an aunt to 7 nieces and nephews.
Pastor Zachary and Liz Rainey
Care Pastors
Zack’s hometown is Covington, Indiana. As a young man, he was baptized at First Christian Church and recognized a call to Christian ministry at First Assembly of God. He was baptized in the Holy Spirit while attending Zion Bible Institute (East Providence, Rhode Island). After graduation, he served as the children’s pastor and Christian school administrator at Valparaiso Assembly of God (Valparaiso, Indiana). He and his wife, Elizabeth, were married there. Over the next 21 years, they taught at Full Gospel Bible Church Academy (Marion, South Dakota), pastored Covenant Assembly (of Porter County, Indiana), ministered as youth pastors at Bethel Assembly of God (Elkhart, Indiana), and pastored Kendallville Assembly of God (Kendallville, Indiana).
Pastor Alex and Silvia Herrera
CPC En Español Campus Pastors
Alex and Silvia have been married for 44 years, blessed with three children and four grandchildren, with another on the way. They have been serving in God’s kingdom since 1995, and in full-time ministry since 2000. They were sent to the city of Aguascalientes to plant a church, which started with three families and, by God’s grace, grew to 580 believers at its peak. Today, their son serves as the lead pastor of that congregation. Their passion is to preach the Gospel of grace and be a blessing to the Latino and Hispanic communities living in the United States. They are committed to moving in the gifts and power of the Holy Spirit for the restoration and unity of families in the love of Jesus Christ.
