OUR VISION

Our Vision is to equip people to be authentic followers of Jesus.

OUR Mission

Prayer is our PRIORITY: If we pray, the Kingdom will be built on earth as it is in heaven.

People are our PURPOSE:  People are and always have been the focus of God’s love and the object of the Gospel.

His Presence is our PURSUIT:  When the presence of God is active in our every moment and our gatherings, transformation becomes possible.

His Mission is our PASSION:  We will participate in taking the Gospel to those far from God in our neighborhoods, city, region, nation, and the world.

OUR Values

AUTHENTIC COMMUNITY: Living fully devoted to God, His Word, and each other by sharing joys and struggles while speaking God’s truth in love.

SPIRIT LED:  A shared anticipation for and surrender to the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit.

GOD ENCOUNTERS:  Continuously engaging God’s presence produces ongoing transformation that exceeds all human efforts.

GENEROUS LIVING:  Making a Kingdom difference by using all of our God-given resources to bless others.

WORLD IMPACT:  Praying faithfully, supporting financially, and going purposefully into our neighborhoods and nations with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

INTENTIONAL DISCIPLESHIP: Helping one another grow up into mature followers of Jesus through life-on-life relationships, spiritual formation, opportunities to increase in our knowledge and experiences with God, and answering His call on our lives to do the work He’s called each of us to do.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

Connection Point Church is a member of the World Assemblies of God Fellowship.  A movement of almost 13,000 churches in the United States and more than 67 million believers around the world.  For the AG’s full constitution, history, leadership and statement of belief, please visit: www.ag.org.

We believe that the Bible is God’s Word. It is accurate, authoritative and applicable to our everyday lives.

We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy.

We believe that sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ as both God and man is the only One who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to prove His victory and empower us for life.

We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and the ‘new birth’ we must repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and submit to His will for our lives.

We believe that in order to live the holy and fruitful lives that God intends for us, we need to be baptized in water and be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit enables us to live naturally supernatural lives.

We believe in the power and significance of the Church and the necessity of believers to meet regularly together for community, prayer, singing of songs, giving, the teaching of God’s Word and the ‘breaking of bread’ (communion).

We believe that God has individually equipped us so that we can successfully achieve His purpose for our lives which is to worship God, fulfill our role in the Church and serve the community in which we live.

We believe that God wants to heal and transform us so that we can live healthy and blessed lives in order to help others more effectively.

We believe that our eternal destination of either Heaven or hell is determined by our response to the Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised.

OUR Measures

ABIDE DAILY: Have I spent time with Jesus today? When did I sense the presence of God during my day?

LOVE JESUS AND OTHERS:  Did I show love to someone today? How have I obeyed Jesus today?

SERVE OTHERS:  Have I put someone else’s needs above my own? Where am I serving? At Connection Point? In the community?

SHARE GOOD NEWS:  Who am I praying for that is far from God? How have I shared the Gospel in word and action today?

GIVE SELFLESSLY:  How am I living openhandedly? Do I give faithfully and generously?

MAKE DISCIPLES:  Who is helping me grow? Who am I helping grow?

WHAT WE BELIEVE

Rupertus Meldenius, seventeenth-century Lutheran theologian, wrote, “In essentials unity, in non-essentials liberty, in all things charity.” There will always be peripheral doctrines upon which Biblically rooted and committed Christ followers disagree, and we welcome dialogue on many issues related to Christian doctrine. However, we recognize the importance of having a framework around which we grow in maturity and relate to one another as a community of believers, and we hold the following essentials to be at the core of who we are as a community of believers:
