Vision:  Igniting Passion For Jesus

You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in your church, with your near neighbors and throughout your global village. -Acts 1:8 (paraphrase)

Belong: Find a place to belong at Connection Point by engaging in our weekend events and by getting involved in Connect Groups. We offer three sessions each year: January-March; May-July; and September-November. Connect Groups provide a fun-filled, relaxing environment for people to engage in meaningful relationships. They are focused on building relationships and growing together in your walk with God. Visit our website for information on how you can sign-up.

Believe: By believing in Jesus (John 6:69) and staying on mission for Him (Matthew 28:19-20) we are promised a rich and satisfying life (John 10:10) and the ability to live eternally with God (John 3:16) and other believers.

Become: It must be the goal of every believer to become more like Jesus. You do this at Connection Point by becoming a mentee who is equipped to serve as a mentor ( You can have an extraordinary life by becoming a mentor!

Bring: In order to fulfill God’s big dream (Revelation 7:9-10), we must bring people to Jesus. We do this by becoming mentors who are equipped to share the story of Jesus in our neighborhoods and workplaces.

Core Values

Abide Daily – Live the Word – Share the Story of Jesus – Give Generously – Serve Others

Connection Point Church is committed to 5 core values…

1st Core Value: Abide Daily (John 15:4-5)
Extravagant daily time with Jesus—this is the center of abiding. Not legalism, not dry discipline, not manufactured spirituality, but joyous soaking in the presence of Jesus. Spending lavish time with Him who is most precious, the One from whom all life flows. Abiding is patient waiting in the presence of Jesus. Abiding is extravagant (concentrated) daily times with Jesus and all-day awareness. Abiding is constant communion in the midst of a crowded world and busy life and unique times of sweet, exclusive fellowship. In abiding, discipline leads to desire, which matures into delight.

2nd Core Value:  Live the Word (Mark 12:30-31)

To “Live the Word” is to live an empowered life (Acts 1:8) fulfilling the “Great’s,” the Great Commandment (Mark 12:30-31) and the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20). Empowerment is sought through Holy Spirit baptism (Acts 2:4). Loving God is expressed by spending time with Him through abiding, the first core value. The great commission is fulfilled by sharing the story of Jesus, the third core value. Living the Word is accomplished by loving neighbors and living in right relationship with everyone because you cannot be right with God, if you are not right with others (Matthew 5:24).

3rd Core Value: Share the Story of Jesus (Matthew 28:19-20)
From the beginning of Christianity, the natural overflow of being a disciple of Jesus has always been to make disciples of Jesus. “Follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fishers of men” (Matthew 4:19). We are the plan of God for taking His story to all peoples, all nations, all tribes, and languages. There is no plan B! Our ambition as the church must be to share the story of Jesus where it has never been known. We share the story of Jesus by proclaiming His Good News, showing compassion to the world and serving as an advocate for the helpless (Luke 4:18).

4th Core Value: Give Generously (2 Corinthians 8:3)
God blesses His people for the sake of the nations (Psalm 67:1-2). Giving generously reflects the heart of God who gave His only Son so that the world might be saved through Him (John 3:16-17). Giving is a matter of the heart (Luke 6:37-38) Giving generously is defined as giving tithes, offerings, and extravagant offerings. For God to bless a person’s resources, they must give generously. For God to bless the resources of the church, it must also be committed to giving generously.

5th Core Value: Serve Others (Luke 9:24)
Jesus said, “If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it” (Luke 9:24). To experience the rich and satisfying life Jesus promises (John 10:10), you must serve others. Connection Point is not meant to be led by a small band of superheroes but by a large army of servants. Every volunteer position within the church is a link in the chain of someone coming to faith in Jesus Christ because the altar call starts in the parking lot. Every Christian is someone else’s priest and we are all priests to one another (1 Peter 2:9).
